Accountable for : • Secure business growth in an efficient way by securing the right capacity with local suppliers • Help to secure the best price based on Standard Minute Value (SMV) and cost per minute • Improve efficiency and productivity for existing product groups and new product lines through advising suppliers • Verify supplier capacity and support teams in capacity management Main Responsibilities : • Work directly or indirectly with manufacturers in order to improve efficiency and productivity • Increase productivity and efficiency by setting a Standard Operating Procedure • Provide guidelines to the new vendors and existing vendors • Determine SMV and set up production targets and planning • Conduct time studies and establish a data base for costing and work content analysis • Conduct predefined projects • Calculate and finalize product SMV from the General Sewing Data (GSD) method, Cutting and Making cost calculation, Production Planning, Seasons plan, Capacity assurance analysis & finalize the product cost • Help manufacturers to reduce manufacturing cycle time, improve speed and reduce cost for production • Investigate plans and work with other departments, such as production and quality, to execute cost reduction initiatives. Analyze and evaluate projects, develop action plans, coordinate, implement and carry out the necessary follow up. Education and Experience requirements • University graduate in Industrial/Textile Engineering • Around 3 to 6 years of experience in the manufacturing or buying industry Knowledge and Skill requirements • SMV calculation, GSD method, Production planning, etc. • Good communication skills in MS Office Package • Fluency in written & spoken English • Good experience in concept of work study and workplace engineering
