JOB DESCRIPTION
- This position is responsible for mantaining smooth operation of multiple Linux servers and providing support for change, incident, and case requests submitted by customers. Duties may include installing and configuring Linux systems and software components, tuning system performance, initiates preventive maintenance as well as analyzes system faults and troubleshoots problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, configure and maintain Linux servers and resolve technical issues. Ensure interoperability
- between different enterprise applications and Linux server operating system.
- Interact with users and evaluates emerging technologies. Assists in the recommendations for improvements and the development of technical standards.
- Provides technical support to investigate and resolve problems and performance issues, available to respond 24/7/365 as needed to meet customer SLAs.
- Conduct analysis, maintains system documentation, and works on project implementations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2+ years experience supporting and troubleshooting Linux server operating system.
- Previous experience performing enterprise level project implementation and support.
- Experience with the design, deployment and maintenance of Linux systems in data center environment.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL
- Proficient in Linux system administration with strong exposure to command line interface.
- Working knowledge of OS clustering, server virtualization, and open source technologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, self-awareness, and excellent written and oral communications.
- Ability to document and diagram designs, processes and procedures.
